President's Vision

Christina_Chang 18th President Christina Chang
Not only is it my honor to be elected as the president of 18th Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in British Columbia, I also deeply feel that my mission and responsibility are significant toward to the whole committee. I wish I can succeed in achieving the objective of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in B.C., promoting the Asian spirit of cooperation, aligning with the Chamber of Commerce and integrating all valuable resources to develop more mutually beneficial situations in the future. In order to expand our establishment of core values, which include utilizing international business for marketing and striving for Taiwan businessmen's rights, we must strengthen the status of Taiwan businessmen, seek a breakthrough and create business opportunities.
The Chamber of Commerce had run for many years in Taiwan, recruited many members around the world, developed a decent structure and made deep impact everywhere. This year, countries around the world have a formidable problem: the global economic crisis. Canadian authorities and enterprises on all levels have gradually reached a consensus to search for opportunities of business marketing and organize all kinds of business events or exhibitions. Only then can we expand the scale of the enterprise markets, making it more commercialized, more efficient from cluster effect and more likely to promote goods successfully. Therefore, the main point of the current affairs of the Chamber of Commerce is, first and foremost, the basis of inheriting past meetings, contacting “Friends of the multicultural market” and arranging a variety of commercial exhibits with diverse sales strategies. Our next step is to expand the size of commerce members. With an increase in strength, more businesses can be developed through the Chamber of Commerce to achieve the growth target.
"Local mainstream, interactive pluralism," is the spirit of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce. The organization will invite local businessmen and academic savants to attend instructional lectures and activities, making more interactive communication through different industries. Gradually, the organization will also promote the individual corporate image of the Chamber of Commerce Members, sharing experiences of trading among distinguished members from different fields. This will provide an all-round advisory service function for Chamber of Commerce members. Combining the experiences and wisdom from everyone, the Chamber of Commerce helps to boost the competitiveness of the Taiwan-funded enterprises. Finally, the organization will help to explore more business opportunities and demonstrate all the best attributes of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce to attract more members.
With the contribution from previous presidents of the govern elites, I must devote myself to my work by improving the members’ proficiency as well as using the members’ and professionals’ talents to make us stronger. I will do my best to perform my duty and I will not disappoint.
