A charity silent-auction, hosted by Silvia Chen, took place on September 12th, with all proceeds going to the Typhoon Relief Committee. The things auctioned included moon cake, condiments, drinks and even lobsters. While this was not the first charity silent auction to have taken place, Mrs. Chen believes this was an especially important one in light of the devastation brought upon by Typhoon Morakot.
Since the earthquake that struck Taiwan 10 years ago on September 21, Mrs. Chen has been continuously involved with charity events for tragedies around the globe. For the Typhoon Relief Committee, Mrs. Chen not only donated money, but also organized numerous events to further help the relief committee.
Mrs. Chen specifically thanked the TCCBC for their help with the silent-auction events.
Allcity Importers Ltd., having already donated $10,000 Canadian to the relief committee, will put up the moon cakes as auction items for the silent-auction. Proceeds will all go to charity. Members of the TCCBC will also be eligible for the Buy 10 Get 1 Free promotion.
Congratulatios to Cary Tsai, as his company Architect 57 recently moved to a new address at #2115-11871 Horseshoe Way, Richmond. The main ideology behind his buildings is “Green Building,” with an emphasis on environmental protection.
