Purpose: To improve the 2nd generation Taiwanese’s knowledge of Taiwan’s culture and custom, Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce decides to hold an “E-Generation Root and Culture Searching Trip.” The trip will also improve the understanding of three important industries shared by Taiwan and British Columbia: Media Communication, Software and Hospitality.
 

Content: Will pick 30 individuals of Taiwanese ancestry currently residing in British Columbia to travel to Taiwan and connect with Taiwan’s industry and culture.

Application Requirement and Planning Guide

Activities:

1) Root and Culture Searching: 3 Days (Sponsor: TCCBC and CA Lion Travel)

2) Industry Visit and Discussion: 4 Days (Sponsor: TCCBC)

3) Government Visit: 1 Day (Organized by Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vancouver)

Purpose:
To improve the awareness of 2nd generation Taiwanese Canadians about the culture of Taiwan, with the three main subject of importance being: travel, gaming industry and popular media.

Meaning:
To bring back the knowledge learned in Taiwan about the three subjects of importance for the benefit of future Taiwanese Canadians in Vancouver.

Time: 2010 March 20th to March 30th
