18th President and Directors
President Christina Chang
As the president of the Hanyin Group, Mrs. Chang has been working in the continuing education business for more than 20 ears years. With a focus on international students, her pioneering work builds an enlightened road between the Pacific Ocean to bring qualified students from Taiwan and mainland China to receive Western education in Canada. Immigrated to Canada in 1996, founded Hanyin Education Consulting Inc. in 1997 and cooperated with School District 43 Coquitlam in 1999 to start providing international students a chance to study in Canada. In the same year, she established Hanyin Education Boarding Centre and the first student dormitory in Coqtuilam. Also held the position as the 16th Secretary and the 17th Vice-President at TCCBC.
Advisory President Daphne Wu
Miss Wu graduated from National Chengchi University with a statistics major. She was the secretary at Mitec Computer for 5 years and later became a manager for 2 years. Currently, she is a manager at AIG Insurance Taiwan the Canadian Vance Financial Group for 15 and 7 years respectively. She also acts as the agent for Canadian insurance and funding companies, assumes responsibility for the trading of funds and develops future potential managers. Also held the position as the 15th and 16th Director for TCCBC, the 16th Chief Financial Officer and the 13th President for Great Chinese Community 2006-2007.
First Deputy President Winston Wu
Mr. Winston Wu immigrated to Canada in 1987 and graduated from the University of Windsor with a BA in Politics and the University of Ottawa with an LLB. He has the license of practice law in Ontario and British Columbia. Currently, he is working at Lim & Company. Since 1998, he has been a legal advice consultant for Taiwanese immigrants in Ontario. He specializes in business and company law, as well as real estate registration and loans. He is so enthusiastically involved with Taiwanese community activities. Also held the position as the 15th and 16th Vice-President at TCCBC.
Second Deputy President Ringo Wang
Mr. Ringo Wang was born in Taichung, Taiwan and immigrated to Vancouver in 1990. He specialized in selling and producing athletic accessories. From 1985 to 1990, he worked at a garment factory in South Africa. He currently exports timber and imports hardwood flooring in North America. Also held the position as the 12th President of Great Chinese Community from 2005~2006.
Secretary Cary Tsai
Mr. Tasai immigrated to Vancouver in 1989 and graduated from University of Toronto in 2000 with a Architecture Major. He owns registered architect license for both the USA and Canada. Currently serves as the general inspector for Architect 57. He is one of the founders of the Las Vegas Afforest Council. He has studied Western natural architecture designs as well as Eastern feng shui ideology. His architecture models have included high-tech buildings, schools, courtrooms and skyscrapers.
Treasurer Ray Tsai
Mr. Tsai used to be a financial consultant for Vance Financial Group. He received his MBA from Utah State University. He was the superintendent for Yuanta Financial Holdings and Farglory Insurance, treasurer for Mustang Asian Inc. and manager for LiteOn Electronics. For over twenty years, he has been providing financial affairs for businesses as well as individual money managing. He wishes to aid his fellow TCCBC Taiwanese compatriots and build a brighter platform for future generations.
Director Stephen Lin
Mr. Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan and immigrated to Canada in 1990. He specializes in information technology security and monitoring systems. He is currently working at Quasarbiz as the chief inspector. He has also written numerous columns for Taiwanese newspapers and was responsible for maintaining the internet security of ICRT radio broadcasting station for 6 months. He hopes to collaborate with fellow TCCBC members to help more Taiwanese entrepreneurs expand into the North American IT Industry.
Director Tony Chiu
Mr. Chiu was born in Taipei, Taiwan and immigrated to Vancouver in 1997. He graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2004 with a major in Communications. He established Hansonic P.C. Board Inc. in 2005 and was responsible for the sales of the print circuit board. He was the Promotion Department Executive for Simon Fraser’s Taiwanese Club. Also held the position as the 16th and 17th director at TCCBC.
Director Betty Hsia
Friendly, helpful and approachable. Miss Hsia is currently working at Shiang Garden Restaurant and has participated in numerous TCCBC activities with great enthusiasm. She wishes to gain more experience by communicating with other TCCBC members and hopes to play a bigger part in future TCCBC events.
Director Albert Tseng
Mr. Tseng was born in Taipei, Taiwan and graduated from Tamkang University. Immigrated to Canada in 1993 and entered Utopia Travel in 1997 as a shareholder. By 1999, he became Utopia Travel’s general manager as well as Canadian Inbound Tourism Association (Asia Pacific)’s director. In 2005, he was elected to be the vice-president of CITA and then in 2006 was chosen to be the director of Richmond Tourism association. From 2007 to now, he is the president of CITA.
Director Richard Su
Since 1997, he has been an immigrant in Canada for over 10 years, specializing in computer technology. After years of traveling between Taiwan and Canada, he has decided to stay in Vancouver permanently with his family after he joined TCCBC.
Director Stephen Liao
Mr. Liao graduated from National Chengchi University and then Kansas State University with a Masters degree. He is a certified accountant and has a management license. He moved from the USA to Canada in 1975 and has worked as both an accountant and computer manager. Since 1993, he has worked at Celex Laboratories Inc. and wishes to aid fellow Taiwanese businessmen after he retires.
Director Michael Hsieh
Mr. Hsieh was born in Taiwan and graduated from Chung Yuan Christian University. Immigrated to Vancouver in 1993 and became a real estate agent in 1994.
Director Rholder Hsiao
Mr. Hsiao currently works for Future Solutions that provides the best item and service with the lowest price.
Director Jessie Lo
Mrs. Lo graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BBA in Marketing. Founded Imago Strategic Marketing in 2004.
IMAGO Strategic Marketing is a full service promotional marketing company. They design, create and supply a wide range of promotional products to assist clients in generating brand excitement and lasting impression that connect and communicate to target audience. 
Director Rex Hua
Mr. Hua is the coordinator for TCCBC 2003-2004. Founding member and 4th President for TYPEABC. He is currently a realtor with Sutton Centre.
Director Gary Hsu
Mr. Hsu immigrated to Vancouver in 1989 and is currently a real estateconsultant in commercial businessr for Royal Pacific Realty. Author about commercial investment & management of special column for Dawa Business press.

Director Xavier Li
Mr. Li immigrated to Canada in 1998, earned his MBA from University of Victoria in 2000 and entered Edward Jones as a consultant. He was transferred to Royal Bank Dominion Securities in 2006 and is now working at Raymond James as of 2007.
Director Alex Ho
Born in Taichung, Taiwan, Mr. Ho currently works at Shaw Multicultural Channel.
Director Michael Lee
Mr. Lee has been involved with international trade for more than 30 years and is currently specializing in investment and financial management.
Director Steven Chiang
Mr. Chiang graduated from National Chengchi University. He used to work at Cathay Pacific Airlines but is now working at CA Lion Travel as the manager of his department after immigrating to Canada.

Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce The 1ST Entrepreneur Scholarship

Applicant Criteria:
i) Demonstrate a basis for financial need.
II) For high school applicants, a minimum average of 80%. For university applicants, a minimum GPA average of 3.0.
III) Exhibit interest in the activities of TCCBC or related associations.
Winners will receive their awards at the TCCBC GALA May 2010.
